Our barefoot only package includes 2 hours of barefoot bowls, an introduction to the game and access to all of our facilities.
Barefoot Bowls FAQ'S
Can I bring my own caterer or any prepared hot food?
No. Glenroy Bowls Club has an on-site restaurant and staff that prepare and offer catering. Catering packages start from $15pp, or you can set a catering budget that we will happily work around. Guests are allowed to bring cold food items such as sandwiches, cakes or antipasto platters to their event, but cannot be consumed within the restaurant area.
Is there food available to be ordered as we go?
Yes. Saigon Mel is open 6 days a week from 11am to 10pm.
Can we set up a bar tab?
Yes. To set up a tab please see the bar staff. A form of ID and credit card will be kept secure behind the bar until the completion of your event or tab.
Are we allowed to bring BYO drinks?
No. Glenroy Bowls Club is a fully licensed venue. This includes non-alcoholic drinks. Our bar stocks a huge variety of beers, spirits, ciders and mixers.
Is there parking available?
Yes. There are 200+ car spaces available in the Ash Court car park, or ample parking along the Daley Street entrance.
Is smoking permitted on the premises?
Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area alongside green #3
Are you a family-friendly venue and can children play bowls?
Yes. Families are more than welcome, with kids bowls available. We require all children to have adult supervision within the venue at all times.
Where can we store personal items?
At the discretion of our bar staff, some possessions may be kept behind the bar, but please note we do not take accept any responsibility for lost, misplaced, damaged or stolen items.
What type of bowling greens will we be playing on?
We have 2 grass and 1 synthetic green. Barefoot bowls rink allocations will be at the discretion of our green keeper.
We are thinking of hiring a DJ or live music for our event is this allowed?
Yes. Please express your interest in your booking inquiry and our staff will talk you through our options.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. All bookings for over 3 people require a deposit. For bookings between 4-10 people, a $20 deposit is required. For bookings over 10 people, a $50 deposit is required. The deposit amount can be taken off your group's barefoot bowls fees or bar tab.
